GOLF IN PHUKET

Loch Palm Golf Club will become a fast favorite with all golfing enthusiasts. The 18-hole, par 72, 6,434 yards course sits amid beautiful rolling hills, providing a scenic; backdrop to the lush green fairways. The standard 18 hole, 71 par, 6,850 yard Banyan Tree Club is surrounded by the Andaman Sea and mountain scenery. Max Waxlor designed the first nine holes, with sand mountains, shady coconut trees and water obstacles in five areas. Part of the Laguna development at Bang Tao Beach, this is a true paradise for golfers.

With the great success of the 1994 Johnnie Walker Classic, Blue Canyon Country Club has been recognized as a world championship golf course and one of the best in Asia. Gary Player was moved to comment. Absolutely magnificent course, they've got the most beautiful setting, really using the natural landscape and building the holes around it. Y ou won't find a better club house anywhere in the world, the food is good, and everybody is friendly.

Phuket Country Club is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Thailand, with a standard 18-hole, 72 -par, 6,483 yards course. The course has three distinct characters - in some parts hilly, in others laced with waterways, and in others it has lush green fairways. Golfers need to be good, and well-prepared, to perform well on this course. But whatever the score, there's no doubt that golfers will enjoy those lush green fairways.

PHI PHI ISLAND

Approx. 48 kilometres Southeast of Phuket, in the clear blue waters of the Andaman Sea, is the dream archipelago of Phi Phi and Phi Phi Don. At around 7.30 a.m. a mini bus takes you from your hotel to the boat pier, where the voyage for Phi Phi begins. Between 45 minutes and 2 hours later, depending upon the type of the boat, you arrive at the archipelago of Kho Phi Phi. This is a protected natural reserve, formerly researched by the famous aquanaut Jean-Jacques Cousteau. Upon arrival at the larger of the two islands, Phi Phi Don, you board a modern cruise ship for an unforgettable trip around the fascinating corral reefs.
Phi Phi Island
After the lunch, you can snorkel, swim or just relax on the beautiful beach. After this break your speedboat leaves for Phi Phi Lae, famous for it's swallow cave. High on the steep cliffs, and in the caves, the locals risk their lives to harvest the swallow nests three times a year. A kilogram of this, the basic ingredient for Chinese swallow nest soup, costs approximately 25,000 Baht. Now you can spend now about one hour here in the place where all your dreams of the picture-perfect beach can become reality. On the way back to the port of Ao Chalong on Phuket Island fresh fruits and not-alcoholic beverages will be served. A waiting bus brings you back to the hotel by approx. 5 p.m.

Phang Nga Bay (National Park)
and The "JAMES BOND" Island (Kao Tapoo)

In the morning your bus takes you north, past plantations and temples, as we say goodbye to Phuket Island. Now its over the Japanese built Sarasin Bridge, the only one connecting the island to the mainland, on to Phang Nga province. After approaching the boat jetty you board one of the so-called Longtail-Boats. While passing the mangrove forests you dive into a totally unique landscape.
Phang Nga
As the trip continues you pass bizarre rock formations, grottoes, and limestone caves (Tam Lod), like nothing you have ever seen before. You finally reach the famous "JAMES BOND" Island or Kao Tapoo, named after the famous 007-film "The man with the golden Gun". Next you carry on to lunch at a Muslim sea-gypsy village, Ko Pan Yee, built on stakes in the sea. If time permits, and only with this tour, will see the famous Monkey Cave (Wat Suwankuha) with its oversized laying golden Buddha Statue, a diamond grinding factory, and a cashew nut factory.

Here you can visit the most important temple on the island, Wat Chalong, with its sumptuous decorations, and housing the gold foil covered statue of Luang Pho Cheam. He became famous around the turn of the century for his ability to heal fractures. The visit is followed by a short trip around Phuket Town, past the Portuguese colonial style houses of the tin barons, and up to a market, where you have the chance of visiting the multicoloured Put Chaw Chinese Temple. Jeep Jungle Tour

The best way to explore the northern part of the island is definitely by jeep. Departure time is around 10 a.m. from your hotel. We'll be driving through partially rough terrain, well off the normal roads. We take you into the only jungle on Phuket. First we visit the Gibbon Rehabilitation Center and after an invigorating walking tour of approx. 30 minutes, we reach the Ton Sai Waterfalls, where you can relax and swim. You will also see rubber plantations, pineapple farms, and palm oil plantations, and of course many beautiful beaches and bays.

Next we bring you to an elephant camp in the middle of the jungle, where you get on a saddled elephant! Now you begin a three-stage ride through the jungle.
Elephant Trekking
You ride through the pristine natural forest to various rivers and waterfalls, where you may go swimming if you wish. This tour is an absolutely incredible experience for both young and old. It also includes a rich meal. At approx. 6 p.m. we have you back in your hotel.

SIMON CABARET

The absolute highlight of a vacation evening is a visit to the Simon Cabaret Show. This is a world-famous transvestite theatre, unique in the world, with more than 120 actors. And there is no comparison with the too often copied tingel-tangel sex shows in the various bars. Let you be seduced into the world of the theatre, and enjoy songs and dances from all over the world. The actors will thrill you with fantastic costumes and lovely songs in many different and fascinating scenarios. This is an absolute must for any Thailand visitor who has never seen a performance like this before.
Simon Cabaret
Because this Show is frequently sold out, please make your ticket reservations well in advance at our tour office. We will get you the best seats in the theatre!

An entertainment park of the special kind is situated at the Kamala Beach, approx. 9 kilometres away from Patong. Here you find the king's palace, as well as reconstructed temples.
